Effective Energy Management for Plastics Processors Part 2 is CPD-approved and delves into the specifics of energy management.
Users are encouraged to take part 1 before taking part 2.
It comprises six modules, each looking at energy management for a different manufacturing process. Learners are encouraged to select and complete individual modules relevant to the manufacturing processes their site uses.
Part 1 Provides The Grounding in Energy Management
Part 1 comprises seven modules. The first three modules serve as an introduction to energy management and cover:
• Energy Management Systems
• Understanding Energy Use
• Monitoring and Targeting
The next four modules focus on optimising energy use and are designed to provide useful insights to any type of plastics processor. These modules cover:
• Motors
• Compressed Air
• Chilled and cooling water
• Drying
Upon successful completion of Part 1, learners are encouraged to select and purchase the modules they require from Part 2, which looks at energy management techniques for specific plastic manufacturing processes.
It is possible to purchase modules from Part 2 without undertaking Part 1 if that is your preference.
Effective Energy Management for Plastics Processors Part 1 takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes to complete.
Part 2 Looks At Specific Manufacturing Processes
Effective Energy Management for Plastics Processors Part 2 comprises six modules, each with a marked assessment at the end.
You are only required to select those relevant to the processes your manufacturing site uses.
The modules look at energy management techniques specific to each manufacturing process and cover:
• Injection moulding
• Injection Blow Moulding
• Extrusion
• Extrusion Blow Moulding
• Rotational Moulding
• Thermoforming
It is possible to purchase and complete modules from Part 2 without undertaking Part 1 if that is your preference.
The modules within Effective Energy Management for Plastics Processors Part 2 take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
Any combination of these modules can be taken at your leisure, picking up from where you left off.
