What You Will Learn

Building upon the core knowledge covered in part one, the modules within part two look at different plastics manufacturing processes and examine how to improve energy efficiency. Each module contains assessment questions at the end.

Learners are advised to complete Effective Energy Management for Plastics Processors Part 1 before moving onto part two, although this is not essential.

Course content

Focusing specifically on rotational moulding, this module covers:

  • Gas and electricity use in rotational moulding
  • Using data to analyse energy efficiency
  • Reducing oven heat loss and preventing heat loss from seals
  • The correct insulation of rotational moulding machines
  • The efficient use of recirculation and cooling fans

It is possible to purchase and complete modules from part two without undertaking part one if that is your preference.

Course duration

This module takes approximately 20 minutes to complete.

Any combination of modules from part two can be taken at your leisure. If you do not complete a module in a single sitting, you are able to pick up from where you left off the next time it is convenient.
